Damp and Timber Decay

In both cases, damp and timber decay can be detrimental to a building’s structural integrity if not discovered and treated at an early stage. Using our specialist surveyors, we detect and investigate the extent and nature of fungal decay – particularly dry rot.

Once we  have completed an inspection, we can offer solutions for remedial works in order to ensure that the decay does not cause any further damage.

Dry rot can result in devastating consequences. We call it the “cancer of buildings”. In common with the same problem, treating the (often more obvious) secondaries without establishing the primary cause is a mistake.
